My iPod Classic won't sync after installing Tahoe 26.0

For years, I have routinely synced my iPod Classic with Music on my iMac desktop.

However, it appears that after installing Tahoe 26.0, the syncing process with my iPod Classic is no longer working; i.e., the "Sync Settings" button will NOT take me to the relevant screen to sync the device!

QUESTION: ...Is anyone else experiencing this problem?...Is there anything that can be done about it?...

[NOTE: I also have an iPod Touch, which I have been able to sync without any problem. And with respect to the iPod Classic, please note that I have already rebooted (i) the iPod Classic, (ii) the Music application, and (iii) my iMac computer, none of which helped! Also, the cable is clearly not an issue because (i) I have been able to sync my iPod Touch, and (ii) the Music application on my iMac is recognizing my iPod Classic device.]

Thanks so much!

(P.S. ...I am apprehensive about carrying out a full restore of my iPod Classic for fear of disabling the device entirely...But I can't even do that because I can't get beyond the "Sync Settings" button!...)

I'm experiencing the exact same thing with the exact same mixture of frustration and apprehension! The problem, as it was when I first upgraded from Monterey to Ventura, is trying to get the generations to speak to each other and I fear I was one of those irresponsible Mac users who should’ve been inclined to wait until that all important 26.1 release that has ironed out all the bugs. I’m not keen to be driven back into the arms of Sequoia, notwithstanding the fact that it did everything I wanted it to do. Apple - please put us out of this particular misery!
