Unable to reset iCloud password on second-hand iPhone XR

Hello Apple, I have a problem with resetting my iCloud password. To begin with, I have an iPhone XR model that I bought two years ago from a friend, but she didn't log out of her iCloud (za***********84@icloud.com) account because she couldn't reset the password because the account was already registered to a non-existent number. Could you please completely delete this account?

Unfortunately, I don't have any documentation for the phone.

This is a user-to-user site. Apple mostly is not here except to moderate it, and will not see your request.

Based on what you have told us, there is no way that Apple would consider clearing your friend's Apple Account / removing Activation Lock from this device. If Apple was willing to remove Activation Lock on second-hand phones for which there is no documentation, they would be flooded with Activation Lock requests from every thief & fence in existence, making Activation Lock useless at its job of being an anti-theft deterremt.

You need to go back to your friend and ask her to remove Activation Lock and properly prepare the phone for a new owner. If you cannot get in touch with her, or she will not or cannot do this, the phone will stay associated with her account.
